Casa Silva, Vinedo Original Romano
By Casa Silva
Origin: Colchagua Valley, Chile
Varietal: cesar noir
Producer's Notes: Romano, also called César Noir, is a variety that was introduced in France by the Roman Legions that arrived in Burgundy and that have been present in our original vineyards in the Colchagua Valley since 1912, introduced by the first generation of the family, which arrived in Chile from Bordeaux, France.
The production of this wine is very limited, and the grapes were picked by hand., bunch by bunch, in our century old vineyards. It is a lush and pleasing wine with good body and colour, aromas of tea, almonds and red fruits. The palate delivers a pleasing sensation of acidity and natural sweetness.
