Origin: Chinon, Touraine, Loire, France
Varietal: cabernet franc
Producer's Notes: Chinon vineyards lie on the left bank of the river Loire. On the clay and chalky slopes, the Cabernet Franc grapes give a full bodied wine, having perfect balance between the fruit and rich tannins. Chinon is a wine that can be drunk young or left to mature in cool cellars by those connaiseurs [sic] who wish to drink the wine at its full maturity. It can accompany poultry, grilled meat and local goat cheeses.
