"The Thirsty Cyclist" Beaujolais-Lantignié Blanc
Origin: , Beaujolais-Lantignié, France
*Natural yeasts and minimal intervention
Producer's Notes: This wine is made by the same young vigneron who sells them the grapes for Lantignié rouge. It comes from his organic conversion vines, fermented with natural yeasts and slow press in a wooden basket press after foot stomping.
Lantignié, an exceptional off-the-beaten-path terroir of the Beaujolais, faces due south on the slopes below the Avenas pass. This granite terroir is full of rare and precious minerals such as quartz, flourspar, and baryte, providing plenty of fuel to vines and complexity to wines.
