Producer's Notes:
An intense, complex Syrah showing ripe damson plum, blackberry, and blueberry, with toasty vanillin oak, chocolate-coated liqueur cherries, and savory charred meat, bacon, black pepper, and licorice, alongside a subtle incense note. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, with crisp acidity and firm, ripe tannins that provide plenty of structure for aging. The stewed blueberry and sun-warmed blackberry notes mix with paprika, graphite, coconut, and dried sage on the long finish.
What We Say:
A powerful, South Okanagan interpretation of Syrah, combining ripe dark fruit and substantial texture with the savory, peppery character. This wine opens with ripe blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and damson plum, accompanied by notes of black pepper, paprika, dried olive, thyme and vanilla. The vanilla and oak add sweetness of spice and depth, while the finish is long and persistent.
