Producer's Notes:

Thomas Bachelder is known for making some of Canada’s most elegant and expressive wines, and L’Insouciant Gamay is one of his most joyful. He sources the grapes from cool Niagara vineyards and uses a gentle approach, resulting in a fresh and lively Gamay.
You’ll notice aromas of red cherry, cranberry, and pomegranate, along with hints of rose petal and gentle spice. The wine tastes vibrant and silky, with a light to medium body, soft structure, and refreshing acidity. A bit of minerality lingers on the finish, making each sip feel bright and easy.

One of Niagara’s most thoughtful interpreters of Burgundy-inspired varieties, L’Insouciant shows this with the Gamay, where the grape's natural brightness pops against the mineral precision of the Niagara Escarpment. Candied cherry, raspberry and plum fill the glass alongside subtle toasted spice and earthy nuances, while the palate is fresh and silky, driven by lively acidity and fine-grained tannins.
