Producer's Notes:
Deep ruby red. Intense, with scents of ripe blackberry and cherry, complex and elegant. With great body, persistent, and with pleasant tannins.
What We Say:
A traditional, full-bodied Tuscan red with an intense, complex bouquet of ripe blackberry and cherry aromas, and additional savory and spicy nuances that develop with age. The natural acidity provides freshness, while the tannins are pleasantly integrated.
The grapes are harvested in the second half of September, followed by fermentation and approximately 25 days of maceration on the skins. The extended skin contact helps extract color, flavor, and tannic structure. The wine is bottled for 24 months after harvest, followed by another four months of bottle maturation before release.
