Producer's Notes:
Energetic aromas of vanilla, black cherry, orange peel, and coffee lead off the nose, followed by anchoring notes of earth and leather. On the palate, blackberries lift the black cherry element, while the finish is defined by peppery earthiness and the lingering sweetness of fruit dipped in chocolate. Tannins remain fierce and unwilling to take a back seat.
What We Say:
A powerful yet refined organic Sangiovese where the grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected from vineyards at approximately 350 meters elevation, with predominantly calcareous soils. The grapes are fermented in large oak vessels, aged for 24 months in French oak tonneaux, then aged for another 24 months in the bottle.
Thanks to the elevated Montecucco vineyards, this wine keeps its freshness and energy, creating a wonderful balance between Tuscany's generous fruit and Sangiovese's signature acidity and structure. Savory spice and earthy complexity lead to an elegant finish, making this a perfect choice for special meals and relaxed evenings.
