This Sangiovese is intensely leathery and sanguine on the nose, with aromas of wild cherry, cranberry, citrus peel, and pomegranate slowly peeking through, before a palate that stays meaty and astringent but also bouncy with red fruit and plenty of acidity. The aroma and palate are combined with earthy underbrush, leather, iron-rich soil, and herbal hints like sage or thyme.
