Bruna Grimaldi Langhe Arneis - Langhe DOC, Piedmont, Italy
A fresh and aromatic white from Bruna Grimaldi, this Langhe Arneis captures the elegant character of one of Piedmont’s most distinctive native grapes.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve the grape’s delicate aromatics and vibrant freshness, the wine opens with delicate aromas of pear, white peach and citrus blossom, accompanied by subtle hints of almond and wild herbs. On the palate it is crisp and lively, showing bright orchard fruit and gentle minerality supported by refreshing acidity and a clean, elegant finish. Light yet expressive, it’s a classic example of Arneis’ charm and versatility.
About the Arneis grape:
Arneis is a historic white grape from Piedmont in north-west Italy, traditionally grown in the Langhe and Roero hills. The name roughly translates to “little rascal,” a nod to its reputation for being difficult to grow. Stylistically it sits somewhere between Pinot Grigio and Viognier - offering more aroma and richness than Pinot Grigio, but usually with more freshness and restraint than Viognier. Some examples can also show the crisp orchard-fruit character of unoaked Chardonnay, making it a versatile and food-friendly white.
