What we say:

Deep, powerful and beautifully polished, ‘Peraj Ha’abib’ (“Beloved Flower” in Hebrew) is the flagship kosher wine from Capçanes and one of Spain’s benchmark kosher reds. It opens with intense aromas of blackberry, cassis and ripe plum layered over cocoa, cedar, liquorice and Mediterranean herbs, with a subtle mineral and smoky edge beneath the fruit. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, with velvety tannins and a concentrated core of dark fruit balanced by freshness and spice. There’s real depth and structure here, but also impressive finesse, finishing long, savoury and quietly luxurious.

Made from organically farmed old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena, with supporting Cabernet Sauvignon depending on the vintage, the wine is fermented under strict kosher supervision and aged in French oak barrels to build complexity and polish. The combination of old vines, low yields and careful élevage gives the wine both richness and ageing potential, while preserving the freshness and mineral character typical of Montsant.

Certified kosher under the supervision of the Jewish Community of Barcelona, ‘Peraj Ha’abib’ is both Lo Mevushal and Kosher for Passover (Le Pessaj) certified. It remains one of the wines most responsible for elevating the international reputation of premium kosher winemaking in Spain.
