Silky, generous and beautifully approachable, Les Valentines is the second wine of Château Rol Valentin, offering all the charm of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in a style that can be enjoyed earlier than the estate’s flagship. Aromas of ripe black cherry, plum and blackberry are layered with violet, liquorice, cocoa and a gentle touch of baking spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with supple tannins, polished dark fruit and a fresh limestone-driven lift that carries through to a smooth, elegant finish. Rich enough to satisfy, yet refined enough to remain unmistakably Right Bank Bordeaux.
Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the wine comes from 40-year-old vines rooted in Saint-Émilion’s classic clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested fruit is vinified with the same attention to detail as the grand vin before ageing predominantly in seasoned French oak barrels, preserving fruit purity while adding texture and finesse. The result is a beautifully balanced Bordeaux that captures the generosity of the exceptional 2022 vintage while remaining accessible in its youth.
