Petite Eglise 2023 – Pomerol (Famille Durantou)
Made by the family of the late Denis Durantou - one of Pomerol’s most admired winemakers - Petite Eglise is far more than a “second wine.” The 2022 vintage shows remarkable depth, purity, and finesse, offering a beautifully accessible expression of the L’Eglise-Clinet style at a far friendlier price.
The nose is plush and inviting, with aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, violet, and subtle cocoa. On the palate, the wine is sleek and polished - medium to full bodied with fine, silky tannins and a core of pure, dark fruit. A gentle mineral edge and fresh acidity keep everything lifted, leading to a long, elegant finish.
Grape varieties: Primarily Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc
Style: Elegant, refined, fruit-driven Pomerol
Drink window: 2026–2038
Perfect for: Roast meats, duck, mushroom dishes, or enjoying alongside top Right Bank Bordeaux without the First-Growth price

Graceful, aromatic, and beautifully made - Petite Eglise 2022 is a standout in its own right and a superb glimpse into the style of one of Pomerol’s great estates.
