Generous, polished and unmistakably Right Bank in style, Esprit de Pavie brings together fruit from several of Gérard Perse’s prestigious Bordeaux estates to create a wine that captures the character of Château Pavie in a more approachable, earlier-drinking style. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum are layered with cedar, graphite, cocoa, tobacco leaf and sweet baking spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins, vibrant dark fruit and a fresh mineral backbone that gives the wine both elegance and energy. Rich and expressive without feeling heavy, it finishes long with notes of cassis, dark chocolate and savoury spice.

Made from 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is sourced from estate-owned vineyards across Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. Rather than being a traditional second wine, Esprit de Pavie is a unique cuvée that draws on the diversity of Gérard Perse’s Right Bank vineyards, offering remarkable quality and consistency. Matured in French oak barrels previously used for the family’s grand vins, it delivers impressive complexity while remaining wonderfully accessible in its youth.
