2008
65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit-Verdot 

Particularly intense color heralds the quality of the vintage. This impression is confirmed by a ripe nose on black and red fruit aromas, a slight hint of oak and a few floral notes. The new style is showcased in a wine which professes vibrant character, remarkable amplitude and delicious tannins. Drink 2016-2045.

2009
65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot 

Alfred Tesseron has been making classic Pauillac here every year since the excellent 1994 and recent vintages have been amongst the best ever, scoring impressively when shown in blind tastings. Pontet Canet is now pushing the Pichons as Pauillac's top non-first growth yet we hope that the price will remain considerably lower. Grapes are manually sorted by a team of 30 people on specially made sorting tables. The vineyard is now biodynamic and even being worked by horses. 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot in two thirds new oak. Pontet Canet is now consistently producing wine of "super-second" quality. A powerful, explosive, dense black fruit nose. Massive and absolutely packed with ripe intense fruit on the palate. Tons of glycerol with a hint of prunes. Huge, complex and long. Amazing richness and power with perfect structure to balance. Long, quite tannic at this stage but a long life ahead. Great potential. A real monster.  Drink 2018-2038 

2010

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot 

Pontet Canet is now consistently producing wine of "super-second" quality. A powerful, explosive, dense black fruit nose. Massive and absolutely packed with ripe intense fruit on the palate. Tons of glycerol with a hint of prunes. Huge, complex and long. Amazing richness and power with perfect structure to balance. Long, quite tannic at this stage but a long life ahead. Great potential. A real monster.  Drink 2020-2040 

2011

60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot 

Very deep color. Fresh aromas possessing an incredible purity, with mineral, fruit, and flower notes which come together harmoniously. In the mouth the wine shows impressive finesse with silky tannins. This is an enchanted meeting of a great terroir with biodynamics. Drink 2020-2040 

2012

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot 

Vibrant and deep in colour. The nose is a fusion of red and black berries, graphite and spices. The palate's structure is particularly dense and long with chiseled tannins of incredible precision. Drink 2017-2035 

2013

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit-Verdot 

This 2013 has to be approached in a spirit of complete innocence. Light in colour, it has a delicate, floral and refined nose, more reminiscent of a great Pinot Noir than of a Pauillac wine. Superbly complex, with an uncommon range of aromas and flavours, it is smooth and lingers very long on the palate. This wine will go far. Drink 2016-2031
