Clos Henri Estate Pinot Noir - Marlborough, New Zealand
A beautifully expressive Pinot Noir from the organically farmed Clos Henri estate in the Wairau Valley district of Marlborough, founded by the Bourgeois family of Sancerre. This wine captures the elegance of Pinot Noir with a vibrant and modern New Zealand twist. The juice is fermented in open stainless-steel vats and then further aged for around 11 months in large French oak vessels, which provide structure and subtle spice while preserving the wine’s purity of fruit and freshness. Aromas of ripe cherry, plum and red berries are complemented by subtle notes of spice, Italian herbs and a touch of liquorice. On the palate it’s medium-bodied and finely balanced, with juicy fruit, lively acidity and silky tannins that lead to a long, savoury finish with a hint of mineral freshness.
