A benchmark New Zealand Syrah from the acclaimed Gimblett Gravels terroir, Le Sol 2021 is concentrated yet finely balanced, marrying depth of fruit with savoury complexity. It opens with enticing aromas of blackberry, blueberry, violet, fresh herbs and a hint of white pepper, while the palate delivers layered dark fruit framed by fine, seamless tannins and bright, mineral-tinged acidity. The heritage clone Syrah vines planted in the gravelly soils give the wine both intensity and purity of expression, and careful oak maturation adds texture without overwhelming the fruit.
