Croft Vintage Port 2016 - Douro Valley, Portugal
Producer's Notes:
A vibrant and expressive declaration from Croft’s classic Quinta da Roêda vineyards, showcasing the balance and elegance that made 2016 one of the most talked-about recent Port vintages. Concentrated aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, eucalyptus and rose petal are matched on the palate by rich dark fruit, spice and finely knit tannins that give structure without weight. There’s an elegant symmetry here - opulent yet poised - that speaks both to the strength of the vintage and Croft’s deft handling of its field-blend fruit. Expect this to develop beautifully with time in bottle.

*Please be aware that with all vintage ports (and older wines), the natural corks may crumble if using a regular corkscrew. Please use proper uncorking tools and exercise caution. Sediment will settle in the bottle over time, therefore decanting the port prior to serving will remove this deposit. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you require further assistance or advice.
