Daniel Dampt & Fils Petit Chablis Chardonnay - Chablis, Burgundy, France
Producer's Notes:
A fresh, mineral-driven expression of Chardonnay that emphasizes citrus, oyster-shell minerality and energetic acidity. The 2025 is already showing particularly well: current notes describe a pale lemon-gold color, clean lemon and oyster-shell aromas, subtle fruit, and a racy, bone-dry finish.
What We Say:
This Chardonnay is especially crisp, with a combination of lemony fruit, saline minerality, and fine texture. The vineyard is on the plateau around Fyé, on the right bank of the Serein, where the soils contain significant limestone. The aromas are clean lemon and oyster-shell notes, giving it that classic Chablis combination of citrus and marine minerality with a light, crisp, and very mineral palate.
Grape Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Style: White - Dry, light-bodied, refreshing, fine texture, racy finish
Alcohol: 12.5%
Drink Window: Now (within 1 to 3 years of the vintage & best enjoyed fresh and young)
Perfect For: Shrimp and prawns, scallops with lemon or herbs, sushi and sashimi, and young, fresh cheeses
A fresh, mineral and oyster-shell-driven Chardonnay without oak.
