Fresh, generous and wonderfully balanced, Trescartes is a classic southern Rhône blend that captures the warmth and charm of the region without sacrificing elegance. Aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry and plum are complemented by notes of dried thyme, cracked pepper, black olive and subtle baking spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, offering juicy red and dark fruit, supple tannins and vibrant freshness, with savoury garrigue herbs and a touch of licorice carrying through to a long, harmonious finish. Approachable from the first glass, it also has the structure to develop beautifully over the coming years. 

Produced by the Meffre family, who have farmed the vineyards around Gigondas since 1709, Trescartes is crafted from traditional Rhône varieties led by Grenache, supported by Syrah and Mourvèdre. The estate has been HVE (High Environmental Value) certified since the 2020 harvest, reflecting a thoughtful, sustainable approach to viticulture. Rather than pursuing organic certification, the family favours traditional ploughing, avoids chemical herbicides and carefully limits every vineyard intervention, believing this produces healthier soils and more expressive wines. The wines are matured slowly in the estate's underground cellar, developing the finesse and balance that have become the hallmark of the domaine.
