Dugat-Py Beaune ‘Les Beaux Fougets’ Très Vieilles Vignes 2019 - Beaune, Burgundy, France
A refined and vibrant village-level Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most revered estates. The 2019 Les Beaux Fougets opens with aromas of ripe cherry, red plum, subtle earth and gentle spice, flowing into a medium-bodied palate that combines elegance with depth. Bright acidity and fine tannins give structure without weight, while a savoury, mineral-tinged finish keeps everything poised and harmonious - classic Côte de Beaune character with the meticulous touch Dugat-Py is known for.
The Très Vieilles Vignes designation reflects the exceptionally old age of the vines in this parcel, many of them planted many decades ago. These low-yielding vines naturally produce smaller, more concentrated berries, giving the wine added depth, intensity and nuance while retaining elegance. It’s a key reason this Beaune shows such layered character and structure well beyond what’s typical at the village level.
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Style: Dry red, medium-bodied Burgundy
Drink window: Now–2032
Perfect for: Roast chicken, mushroom risotto, pork tenderloin, charcuterie, grilled salmon
A juicy yet refined Beaune that shows real vineyard energy and classic Burgundian balance - approachable now with plenty of pedigree to age.
