The 2023 continues the estate’s evolution toward precision while retaining its signature depth.

Les Beaux Fougets is a well-situated Beaune climat planted on clay-limestone soils, giving the wine both structure and mineral depth. 

With Dugat-Py’s focus on very old vines (often 70+ years, some much older), the resulting fruit is naturally low-yielding and intensely concentrated - a key driver of the wine’s depth and ageing potential. 

Despite a warm and sometimes challenging growing season, 2023 is defined by surprising freshness and purity, with careful vineyard work preserving balance and terroir expression - a hallmark of Dugat-Py’s approach in this vintage. 

The wine opens with layered aromas of red cherry, cranberry and baked raspberry, alongside earthy spice, subtle smoke and floral lift. On the palate it is medium-to-full-bodied with a plush yet structured feel - ripe fruit, fine tannins and integrated acidity give both generosity and balance, with a long, gently savoury finish.
