Sourced from old vines  (often including very old parcels dating back decades) the 2023 reflects both the domaine’s low-yield philosophy and the vintage’s hallmark freshness.

At Dugat-Py, the concept of "Vieilles Vignes" is taken seriously - these wines often come from older, low-yielding vines (sometimes several decades old or more), producing greater concentration, structure and depth than typical village-level Burgundy. 

The 2023 Burgundy vintage is particularly notable for combining ripeness with surprising freshness, giving wines both generosity and lift - a strong combination for wines with ageing potential. 

The wine opens with deep aromas of black cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, layered with earth, spice and subtle smoky notes. On the palate it is medium-to-full-bodied with impressive density for the appellation, combining ripe red-fruit concentration with firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. There’s a savoury, mineral backbone throughout, leading to a long, structured finish that speaks to both old vines and meticulous élevage.
