Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Coeur de Roy’ Vieilles Vignes 2022 - Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy
Producer's Notes:
Experience the classic elegance of Dugat-Py's Gevrey-Chambertin Coeur du Roy 2022. This Pinot Noir, capturing the essence of Burgundy, offers a harmonious blend of red fruit, spice, and earth, with a subtle minerality that speaks to its exceptional origin.
What we say:
From very old vines planted between 1910 and 1965 across four prized parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin (Les Epointures, Combe du Dessus, Jouise and Les Marchais), Coeur de Roy is Dugat-Py in full voice. Dense yet precise, it offers dark cherry, black berry and Morello cherry fruit layered with spice, earth, liquorice and a cool, stony undertone. The palate is concentrated and finely structured: sleek, mineral-driven and tightly woven, with ripe tannins and real depth, built for the cellar but already showing superb balance and energy. Farmed organically and made in tiny quantities, this is a serious, collectible Gevrey with old-vine power and classic Côte de Nuits character.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir (very old vines, multiple Gevrey parcels)
Farming: Organic (estate practice)
Style: Powerful, structured, old-vine Gevrey with dark fruit, spice and mineral drive
Drink window: Now (with a good decant) to mid–2030s and beyond
A serious old-vine Gevrey - dense, structured and perfect for the Burgundy collector’s cellar.
