Dugat-Py Monthelie Très Vieilles Vignes 2022 - Monthelie, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy
Producer's Notes:
These very old Pinot Noir vines grow on gravelly limestone soils covered with red clay and marl. Monthelie Très Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Dugat-Py is a wine with a velvety texture with fine and digestible tannins.
What we say:
From very old, organically farmed vines in the village of Monthelie, this Pinot Noir shows the rustic grace and depth that emerge from time-tested vineyards. Expect aromas of red and black cherry, blackberry and wild plum, intertwined with underbrush, soft spice and a whisper of forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant, with refined tannins, vibrant acidity and a mineral-tinged finish that reflects the clay-limestone soils. Silky yet grounded, this is a harmonious Côte de Beaune red that balances freshness with old-vine concentration.
