Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2021 - Burgundy, France
A powerful yet finely etched expression of old-vine Gevrey, this opens with layered aromas of dark cherry, raspberry and plum, intertwined with violet, forest floor and a subtle smoky spice. There’s a hallmark Dugat-Py intensity here, but in 2021 it’s delivered with a touch more lift and precision - less brute force, more detail. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a dense core of fruit, framed by fine-grained tannins and a mineral backbone that gives both structure and energy. It finishes long, savoury and gently austere, with lingering red fruit, earth and spice.

A serious Gevrey with depth and pedigree. It's built for the cellar, but already showing the precision and character that define Dugat-Py at its best.
