Edoardo Dottori ‘Nardì’ Verdicchio - Castelli di Jesi, Marche, Italy
Producer's Notes:
Made with 85% Verdicchio and 15% Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia, it fully expresses its clay terroir through a balanced structure and an aromatic profile that combines fruit and minerality. Maturation takes place in steel on fine lees for six months, followed by further bottle aging.
What we say:
From the artisanal estate of Edoardo Dottori, Nardì is a thoughtfully made Verdicchio blending 85% Verdicchio with small portions of Malvasia and Trebbiano - a nod to traditional vineyard blends and old-school hillside viticulture.
On the nose, expect bright citrus notes (lemon zest, lime), orchard fruit (green apple, white peach), wild herbs and a flinty, mineral-tinged undercurrent. The palate delivers lively acidity, clean citrus-and-stone-fruit flavours and a refreshing, savoury finish that shows off the clay-limestone soils and cool hillside fruit.
Grape variety: Verdicchio (with small amounts of Malvasia & Trebbiano)
Farming / Winemaking: Organically farmed, hand-harvested; fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in stainless steel on fine lees before bottling.
Style: Crisp, mineral-accented Italian white—fresh, aromatic and bright
Drink window: Now–2026 (and possibly a bit longer if cellared carefully)
Perfect for: Shellfish, oysters, grilled fish, light pasta dishes, salads, soft cheeses, Mediterranean-style meals, or enjoying as a refreshing aperitif
A lively, terroir-driven Verdicchio - fresh, zesty and authentically Marche.
