Producer's Notes: 

This wine has lots of tart red fruit aromas and flavours. It ferments and rests for one year in 54 litre glass demojohn on its lees, then matures in the bottle for at least one year. 

What we say:

A vibrant and deeply coloured red from Marche (the northerly neightbour to the better-known Abruzzo) Ribe Rosso is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes on the steep, old-vine terraces of the Dottori estate. Expect aromas of blackberry, sour cherry and plum, with undercurrents of Mediterranean scrub, dry earth and a touch of wild herbs. On the palate it’s medium- to full-bodied, offering juicy dark fruit, supple tannins and bright acidity, finishing with a slightly rustic, minerally note reflective of the region’s soil. Earthy yet elegant, this Montepulciano balances rustic character with refined drinkability.
