Emandare “Estate” Pinot Noir – Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Producer's Notes:
From 25 year old vines our Pinot Noir is gently stewarded from grapes into wine with minimal intervention. Both fermented and aged in neutral French oak and left unfined and unfiltered, to capture the truly authentic expression of Emandare’s nature. Soft black cherry and prune plum, violets, rose pedal, wild mushroom, subtle apple and clean minerality and a depth of texture so unique to our Pinot Noir. This only begins to describe this terroir driven wine.
What we say:
A beautifully pure and quietly expressive Pinot Noir from one of Vancouver Island’s most respected small wineries, Emandare’s Estate bottling captures the elegance and coastal freshness that define this unique growing region. Farmed organically and crafted with a gentle, natural-leaning touch, this is a Pinot Noir that showcases finesse, perfume, and a deep sense of place.
The nose is lifted and graceful, offering aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry skin, and rose petal, layered with subtle forest-floor notes and a hint of coastal spice. On the palate, the wine is silky and refined - light to medium-bodied with fine, whisper-soft tannins, lively acidity, and a long, delicately savoury finish. It’s perfumed, balanced, and remarkably drinkable.
