El Enemigo Chardonnay
Origin: Gualtallary, Tupungato, Mendoza, Argentina
Varietal: Chardonnay
Producer's Notes: "The veil is a thin layer of yeasts which protects the wine from oxidation. The wine is left covered by the veil for 10 months in old barrels. You must treat the wine with the uttermost care making sure that the veil doesn't break - battonage is forbidden. Nature prevails acting in silence - the winemaker has no place here."
El Enemigo (The Enemy): At the end of the journey, we remember only one battle. The one we fought against ourselves, the original enemy. The one that defined us.

Our Best Value Wine of 2018 is El Enemigo Chardonnay Mendoza 2016
This is really amazing with an exotic dried-fruit character of pineapple and mangoes. Full-bodied, rich and fruity with cream, pie-crust and caramel character. Crazy chardonnay with a little Jura style and some flor undertones. It really does have flor in the barrel when aging. Love. Get it.
