Kir-Yianni “The North” Assyrtiko – Amyndeon, Macedonia, Greece

Producer's Notes:

From the unique high altitude plateau of Amyndeon, this wine has aromas of peach and apricot, complemented by notes of citrus and white blossoms. Crisp and zesty with balanced acidity and delicate mineral notes.

What we say:

Kir-Yianni’s The North is a beautifully crisp, mineral-driven Assyrtiko grown in the high-altitude vineyards of Amyndeon - one of Greece’s coolest wine regions. Altitude, sandy soils, and dramatic day-night temperature swings give this wine remarkable purity and tension, offering a distinctly northern interpretation of Greece’s most iconic white grape.

The nose shows bright aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach, and subtle herbal notes, wrapped around a core of clean, stony minerality. On the palate, it’s focused and energetic: medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, citrus-driven freshness, and a long, saline finish that reflects both the grape and the cool mountain climate. It’s Assyrtiko with precision and lift, not weight - refreshing, structured, and highly food-friendly.
