La Posta Fazzio Malbec - Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Producer's Notes:

Beautiful red purple colour, vibrant nose of red and black cherries , ripe plums combined with floral touches of violets and rose petals. This fruit and floral cocktail hold by a nice tannic structure that full the palate. When the wine gets warm in your mouth notes of vanilla, chocolate and some spice appears to make it more complex.

This is a fruit driven, fresh and well structured wine that pares with many type from pasta to meat. But does specially well with barbecue!

What we say:

Bold, expressive and beautifully polished, La Posta Fazzio Malbec tells the story of a single family vineyard in Mendoza through one of Argentina’s most celebrated grapes. Aromas of blackberry, plum and black cherry are layered with violet, cocoa, baking spice and a touch of espresso. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with concentrated dark fruit, supple tannins and a fresh lift that keeps the wine balanced despite its richness. There’s plenty of depth and generosity here, but also a sense of elegance that elevates it beyond everyday Malbec.

The wine comes from the Fazzio family’s vineyard in the Tupungato district of the Uco Valley, where high-altitude conditions help preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. La Posta was created to spotlight the growers behind the vineyards, with each bottling named for the family responsible for the fruit. Careful oak ageing adds texture and complexity while allowing the vineyard character and purity of the Malbec to remain front and centre.
