Malivoire Melon de Bourgogne - Beamsville Bench, Ontario, Canada, VQA
Producer's Notes:
It's dazzlingly scented of meyer lemon, peach, honeydew melon and candy floss.
The palate finds it generous, vivid and fresh, flavoured with lime, gooseberry and green apple, leaving a citrus zest-mineral finish. Pressed from whole grape clusters, the fresh juice underwent primary fermentation, settling, and aging in stainless steel tanks with extended lees contact.

What We Say:
Although made in Ontario, this wine's variety is best known as the grape behind Muscadet in the Loire Valley, which Malivoire has developed into a distinctly Niagara expression, and the first Ontario winery to introduce Melon de Bourgogne.
This vintage is dry, bright, and highly acidic, with a distinctly citrus-mineral profile; the palate fills with citrus and green apple and finishes citrusy, zesty, and mineral-driven, with the acidity lingering beautifully.
