Martin Müllen Kröver Steffensberg Riesling Kabinett - Mosel, Germany
Producer's Notes:
The Kröver Steffensberg produces fruity, very Moselle-typical wines with enormous minerality. The acids have a wonderfully fruity and ripe effect, giving the wines tension and vitality. Our vineyard there is beautifully embedded in a small basin. It is exposed to the south and south-southwest. It is particularly characterized by its deep, fine-earth-rich soil, which largely consists of red-coloured slate rich in iron oxide. The soil has an extremely good water supply, so that there is no water shortage even in dry years.
Producer's Notes: Kabinetts from our winery contain comparatively little alcohol. Sweet Kabinetts at 7.0 to 9.5% vol. alcohol. We want to create Kabinetts that appear light and impress with elegance and sensitivity. They are often refreshing and tangy, making them the ideal companion in summer. They go very well with white meat, such as fish or poultry.
What we say:
Sourced from the steep, southwest-facing terraces of the Kröver Steffensberg, this Kabinett captures the elegance and old-school charm that defines Martin Müllen’s work. The nose shows expressive notes of white peach, apricot, citrus blossom and a touch of wet slate.
On the palate it offers classic Mosel lift: featherlight texture, juicy stone-fruit sweetness, vibrant acidity and a gently cooling mineral finish. Perfectly poised between delicacy and flavour, this is a Kabinett with real finesse and drinkability.
