Origin: Mosel, Germany
Vineyard: The Kröver Steffensberg produces fruity, very Moselle-typical wines with
enormous minerality and slightly higher acidity compared to Letterlay. The
acids have a wonderfully fruity and ripe effect, giving the wines tension and
vitality. Our vineyard there is beautifully embedded in a small basin. It is
exposed to the south and south-southwest. It is particularly characterized by
its deep, fine-earth-rich soil, which largely consists of red-colored slate rich in
iron oxide. The soil has an extremely good water supply, so that there is no
water shortage even in dry years.
Producer's Notes: Kabinetts from our winery contain comparatively little alcohol. Our dry
Kabinetts have around 10 to 11.5% alcohol by volume. The off-dry Kabinetts are 9.0 to 10.5% vol. and the sweet Kabinetts at 7.0 to 9.5%vol. Alcohol. We want to create
cabinets that appear light and impress with elegance and sensitivity. They are often refreshing and tangy, making them the ideal companion in summer. They
go very well with white meat, such as fish or poultry.
