Martin Müllen Kröver Paradies Riesling Kabinett Trocken - Mosel, Germany
Producer's Notes:
Our vineyards in Kröver Paradies are located at an altitude of approx. 110 m to approx. 145 m above sea level and consist of extremely stony, steep slopes that are difficult to cultivate. The exposure is western, but the “Hähl” is still exposed to strong sunlight. The vineyards we cultivate in paradise are between 35 and 110 years old and have huge potential. The wines are characterized by great finesse. You can clearly taste the minerality – and therefore the slate – in them. When it comes to young wines, the pleasantly neutral nature of Paradies always impresses, a projection surface for the usually strong acidity.
Kabinetts from our winery contain comparatively little alcohol. Our dry Kabinetts have around 10 to 11.5% alcohol by volume. We want to create Kabinetts that appear light and impress with elegance and sensitivity. They are often refreshing and tangy, making them the ideal companion in summer. They go very well with white meat, such as fish or poultry.
What we say:
From the sun-catching slopes of the Kröver Paradies vineyard, this Kabinett Trocken shows Martin Müllen’s gift for producing dry Mosel Rieslings with remarkable clarity and finesse. The wine opens with bright aromas of lime zest, green apple and white peach, supported by delicate floral notes and the cool slate minerality typical of the site.
On the palate it’s crisp, lean and focused - light in body but high in tension, with invigorating acidity and a long, cleansing finish. This is classic dry Mosel Riesling: pure, racy and beautifully expressive.
