Meerlust’s Chardonnay is one of the Cape’s benchmark white wines - combining Burgundian-inspired elegance with unmistakable Stellenbosch fruit. Grown on the estate’s cool, ocean-influenced vineyards and fermented in a mix of French oak and stainless steel, it delivers complexity, freshness, and refined texture in equal measure.

The nose presents lifted aromas of ripe citrus, peach, toasted hazelnut, and delicate floral notes, underpinned by subtle vanilla and gentle smokiness from carefully judged oak. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, poised, and beautifully balanced: lively acidity, refined fruit, and a creamy mid-palate that never feels heavy. The finish is long, clean, and lightly mineral - the hallmark of Meerlust’s meticulous white-wine craft.
