Piccini Chianti Fiasco - Chianti DOCG, Tuscany, Italy
A timeless Tuscan classic presented in the iconic straw-covered fiasco bottle, Piccini Chianti combines tradition with vibrant, approachable character. Bright aromas of ripe cherry, wild raspberry and plum are complemented by hints of violet, dried herbs and gentle spice. The palate is fresh and medium-bodied, with supple tannins, lively acidity and flavours of juicy red berries, subtle earth and a touch of black pepper, finishing smooth, balanced and unmistakably Chianti.
The Piccini family has been crafting wines in Tuscany since 1882, and this Chianti remains one of the winery's signature bottlings. Produced predominantly from Sangiovese, with small proportions of traditional local varieties including Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with an extended maceration to gently extract colour, flavour and structure while preserving freshness. The traditional fiasco bottle is more than a nostalgic curiosity—it is one of the enduring symbols of Tuscan winemaking, celebrating the region's rich heritage while housing a thoroughly modern, food-friendly Chianti.
