A clean ruby hue with brilliant undertones, an intense aroma of red flowers, cherry, raspberry, red currant, and base notes of spicy cinnamon and coffee: a bouquet of extraordinary harmony, elegance and richness. The palate has a rich mouthfeel, the tannins, very vibrant and with a good grip, give it a fine structure; the correct levels of acidity and alcohol contribute to creating a perfectly balanced and most enjoyable wine.

Bright, cherry-scented and wonderfully food-friendly, Santa Sofia Valpolicella Classico is a classic expression of the Veneto’s everyday red charm. It opens with red cherry, raspberry and plum, lifted by hints of violet, fresh herbs and a gentle almond-like savoury note. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and lively, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a clean, lightly spiced finish that keeps it easy to enjoy without feeling simple. It’s the sort of red that works beautifully at the table: fresh enough for lighter dishes, but with enough fruit and texture to stand up to richer comfort food.

Made from the traditional Valpolicella varieties - primarily Corvina and Corvinone, with Rondinella and smaller local grapes depending on the vintage - the wine is vinified to preserve freshness, fragrance and drinkability rather than weight or oak. The result is a polished, versatile Valpolicella with classic red-fruited lift, gentle spice and that easy Italian knack for making food taste better.
