Ripe peach, red apple, floral, guava, honey, orange peel aromas with a touch of smoke and flint. Ripe, rich round, fresh and elegant with good acidity and sugar. Delicate but intense with red apple, honey, orange, pineapple, floral, lime flavours. A touch sweet on the finish but has fine fruit intensity and delicacy

A breathtakingly concentrated sweet wine from one of the Mosel’s most iconic producers, this 2005 Beerenauslese from Selbach-Oster’s famed Zeltinger Sonnenuhr vineyard is a true collector’s treasure. Farmed on impossibly steep, slate-rich slopes and harvested berry by berry, it captures the essence of noble-rotted Riesling at remarkable purity and depth.

The nose is intensely aromatic: apricot nectar, candied citrus, honeycomb, dried pineapple, saffron, and shimmering slate minerality. The palate is luscious and seamless - viscous yet lifted - balancing its profound sweetness with vibrant acidity that keeps the wine remarkably fresh. Layers of stone fruit, marmalade, exotic spice, and mineral tension unfold across an almost endless finish. Nearly two decades on, it is entering a spectacular drinking window, though it will continue to evolve gracefully for decades.
