Sons of Eden 'Pumpa' Cabernet Sauvignon - Eden Valley, Australia

Bright, fragrant and beautifully composed, Pumpa is a classic Australian Cabernet with a distinctly cool-climate Eden Valley personality. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and blackberry are layered with violets, bay leaf, cedar, graphite and subtle wild herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, combining vibrant dark fruit with finely woven tannins and lively natural acidity, creating a wine that is both approachable in its youth and structured for graceful ageing. A small addition of Shiraz rounds out the mid-palate, adding richness and spice without overshadowing the Cabernet's elegant varietal character. 

The wine is named in honour of Len Pumpa and the pioneering Eden Valley growers who persevered through the region's challenging early years, helping establish one of Australia's great cool-climate wine regions. Sourced from mature Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in the central Eden Valley and Angaston, together with a small proportion of Shiraz from Moculta, each parcel is hand-harvested and fermented separately in small open fermenters before spending 12 months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. Bottled without fining or filtration, Pumpa is crafted to highlight the purity, freshness and refined structure that define Eden Valley Cabernet.
