What we say:
Have you ever tried Georgian wine? There are far worse places to start than this excellent value bottle. Named for the 8,000-year winemaking history of Georgia, 8K Ancient Red is Teliani Valley’s vibrant, modern take on the country’s signature grape, Saperavi. Deeply coloured, boldly fruited, and effortlessly drinkable, it’s a perfect introduction to one of the world’s great historic wine regions.
The nose is expressive and inviting, with aromas of black cherry, plum, and blueberry softened by hints of spice, violets, and a subtle earthy edge. On the palate, 8K is smooth and juicy—medium to full bodied with plush tannins, lively acidity, and a fresh, fruit-driven finish. It offers the classic depth of Saperavi without heaviness, making it wonderfully versatile.
