Gewürztraminer is one of the world’s most aromatic grape varieties, originally linked to the village of Tramin in Alto Adige. It is known for its lychee, floral and spice-driven profile, often with a slightly richer texture than most white wines. 

The region’s warm days and cool nights help develop intense aromatics while preserving acidity, resulting in wines that are both expressive and balanced - a key reason producers like Terlan excel with this variety. 

The nose is highly expressive, bursting with lychee, mango and peach, alongside classic notes of rose petal, orange blossom and honeysuckle. On the palate it is richly textured yet balanced, with ripe tropical fruit, gentle spice and lively acidity giving both opulence and lift. A subtle mineral thread runs through the wine, leading to a long, rounded and aromatic finish.
