Tramontane Chenanson Rosé - Pays d’Oc, France
Fresh, vibrant and delightfully different, Tramontane Chenanson Rosé offers a modern take on southern French rosé using one of the region’s lesser-known grape varieties. Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and pink grapefruit are lifted by notes of watermelon, rose petal and a hint of fresh Mediterranean herbs. The palate is dry and refreshing, with crisp red berry fruit, lively acidity and a clean, mineral finish that keeps the wine bright, elegant and wonderfully easy to enjoy.
Named after the cooling Tramontane wind that sweeps through southern France, the wine reflects the sunny yet breezy conditions of the Pays d’Oc. Chenanson - a somewhat rare cross between Grenache and Jurançon Noir - combines generous fruit with naturally fresh acidity, making it particularly well suited to vibrant, food-friendly rosé. Cool fermentation preserves its delicate aromatics and lively character, resulting in a wine that’s as refreshing as it is distinctive.
