Vinícola Nul·les “Adernats” Mètode Ancestral Xarel·lo - Penedès (Catalonia), Spain
Producer's notes :
Intense yellow color with golden reflections and notes of ripe fruit with a herbaceous touch.
What we say:
A beautifully charming, ultra-low-intervention sparkling wine from around Barcelona, Adernats Mètode Ancestral captures the pure spritz and wild appeal of Spain’s oldest sparkling method. Made from the uncommon Xarel·lo and bottled before full fermentation completes, this wine shows lemony brightness, texture, and a light “sparkle” that feels fresh and spontaneous.
The nose is lifted and expressive, with aromas of green apple, lime zest, white peach, wild herbs and stone dust. On the palate, it feels crisp and grainy - light to medium-bodied with gentle bubbles, electric acidity, orchard-fruit flavours and a softly savoury finish that carries salty mineral hints. The low-intervention approach gives it an easy rhythm and natural charm.
Grape variety: Xarel·lo (pronounced zareh-low in English!)
Style: Mètode Ancestral (lightly sparkling, unfined/unfiltered) Catalan white
Drink window: Now–2026
Perfect for: Aperitifs, tapas, picnic baskets, grilled seafood, or anytime you want something uniquely fresh and slightly off-beat
Sparkle that sings with freedom - Catalan Xarel·lo skipping the rules and keeping all the freshness.
