The village-level dry Trarbacher is a serious wine, another “Kabinett Trocken”-style wine with a salty, bracing structure. Often this is one of their most incisive dry Rieslings and it can age remarkably well. Most often they are sourcing this wine from the Schlossberg and Tabenhaus.

The 2024 is incredibly light and direct, nearly like drinking rainwater that has run over Mosel slate. Salt, smoke, green herbs and some lemon zest. Just 10% alcohol with 7.2g of acidity and 6.5g of RS. It feels like the sharper, saline edge of a Muscadet and would also shine as a wine with oysters. Unfortunately, frost affected the side valley vineyards like Schlossberg tremendously and this wine is very limited.
