A distinctive and characterful orange wine from the small, highly respected estate of Abel Mendoza & Maite Fernández in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alta. Made from 100% Malvasía, this wine is fermented with extended skin contact - a traditional technique that gives the wine its deep amber-orange colour, additional texture and subtle tannic grip. The hand-harvested grapes are macerated on their skins for around 30 days before fermentation, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. This process creates the wine’s signature amber colour, aromatic intensity and light tannic structure.
The nose shows expressive aromas of ripe white fruit, dried apricot, citrus peel and baking spice, while the palate is vibrant and structured with layered fruit, gentle tannins and a long, savoury finish.
