Pain Perdu is a single-vineyard Cabernet Franc wine. It was aged in tanks for about ten months. Like all wines from Claire and Florent Bejon, Pain Perdu is made entirely without additives, and in particular, without added sulfites.

A beautifully expressive Loire red that leans into both purity and rustic charm, ‘Pain Perdu’ offers up a vibrant mix of tart cherry, wild strawberry and crushed raspberry, laced with subtle herbal notes and a whisper of spice. There’s an earthy, slightly savoury edge that gives it real character, while the palate stays fresh, juicy and energetic with light tannins and a lively acidic lift. It’s the kind of wine that feels both thoughtfully crafted and joyfully unpolished, in the best possible way.
