Origin: Beaune, Burgundy, France
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Producer's notes:
This is the first vintage of this cuvée at Domaine Dandelion, a blend of pinot noir from 3 different parcels, with a sandy component, which is why Christian and Morgan called it 'Sur la Plage'. The sandy soil makes the wine extremely drinkable, combining great finesse with unique drinkability and freedom of expression. When you open the bottle, you finish it right away. Beautiful wine, ethereal and fine.
What we say:
Domaine Dandelion “Sur la Plage” Pinot Noir – Burgundy
A tiny, detail-obsessed estate working naturally in the Hautes Côtes, Domaine Dandelion has quickly become one of Burgundy’s most exciting micro-producers. Sur la Plage is their feather-light, ultra-drinkable Pinot Noir - crafted with minimal intervention, whole-cluster fermentation, and a gentle touch that preserves every bit of purity and freshness.
The nose is bright and lifted, with red cherry, pomegranate, rose petals, and a hint of wild herbs. On the palate it’s delicate yet expressive: a glimmer of crunch from the whole clusters, fine tannins, and vivid acidity that gives the wine a breezy, summery feel - true to its name, “on the beach.” This is Burgundy in its most playful, transparent form.
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Style: Light, floral, crunchy, naturally made
Drink window: Now–2027
Perfect for: Chilled red wine nights, picnics, grazing boards, lighter meals, fans of low-intervention Burgundy
Charmingly fragrant, effortlessly drinkable, and produced in tiny quantities - Sur la Plage is the kind of wine that disappears quickly, both in the glass and on the shelf.
