Producer's Notes:

"B.B." stands for Dessus Bon Boire, the specific lieu-dit (named parcel) where these vines are planted. The nose offers a clean, bright, and mineral-driven bouquet combining fresh citrus, crisp orchard fruits, and subtle chalky undertones. Wonderful tension between rich, textured stone fruit and racy, northern-Burgundy acidity. The limestone influence shines through with a salty, wet-stone minerality on a persistent finish.

What We Say:

This wine, like the producer's other wines from the Côtes d’Auxerre region, sits just south of Chablis, sharing the cool northern Burgundy climate and limestone-rich geology that can give Chardonnay a distinctly fresh, mineral, and tensile character. It's a small-production, terroir-focused Chardonnay from the domaine’s parcellaire range—micro-vinifications made from carefully selected parcels and produced in roughly 500–1,500 bottles.
Instead of a buttery, heavily oaked style of Chardonnay, this one is dry, fresh, and finely textured, with fruit that moves toward citrus, apple, and stone fruit, while lively acidity provides the wine's backbone.
