Bright, textured and full of Mediterranean character, Tourbillon de la Vie ("Whirlwind of Life") is an expressive white that perfectly balances richness with remarkable freshness. Aromas of ripe citrus, white peach and pear are complemented by notes of white blossom, fennel, crushed almonds and a subtle saline minerality. The palate is beautifully layered, combining vibrant orchard fruit with a gently creamy texture, lively acidity and a lingering finish of lemon zest, wet stone and fragrant herbs. Complex yet effortlessly drinkable, it is a wine that continues to evolve with every glass.
Produced from old vines surrounding the village of Calce, the blend brings together Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, Macabeu and Vermentino, each contributing its own personality and texture. Jean-Philippe Padié farms organically with biodynamic principles, harvesting by hand before fermenting with indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured primarily in large neutral oak foudres and concrete, preserving purity and freshness while adding subtle texture without overt oak influence. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur, it is a beautifully transparent expression of one of Roussillon's most distinctive terroirs.
