Domaine Jean-Philippe Padié 'Tourbillon de la Vie' Rosé - Vin de France, Roussillon, France
Elegant, dry and wonderfully expressive, Tourbillon de la Vie Rosé is a beautifully refined southern French rosé that offers far more than simple refreshment. Delicate aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and blood orange are joined by rose petals, white peach and fragrant Mediterranean herbs. The palate is vibrant and finely textured, balancing juicy red berry fruit with crisp citrus freshness and a distinctive mineral edge that carries through to a long, savoury finish. Refreshing yet impressively complex, this is a rosé equally at home on the dining table as it is on the patio.
Produced from organically farmed vineyards around Calce, the wine is crafted from a blend of Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Carignan, with each variety contributing freshness, structure and aromatic complexity. Jean-Philippe Padié harvests by hand and ferments with indigenous yeasts before ageing the wine primarily in concrete and neutral vessels, preserving purity and the natural expression of the fruit. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with only minimal sulphur, it is a vibrant reflection of both the rugged Roussillon landscape and Padié's thoughtful, low-intervention approach to winemaking.
Far more than a summer sipper, this is a beautifully crafted gastronomic rosé whose freshness, texture and savoury complexity make it a pleasure throughout the year.
